Citrus fruits, like dark orange and yellow fruits, contain an important vitamin that is necessary for healthy hair. When you consume citrus fruits, you are getting vitamin C, which is an antioxidant that produces skin collagen and helps protect vitamins A and E from free radicals. Some popular fruits that contain vitamin C are: oranges, limes, grapefruits and lemons. Make sure you consume plenty of vitamin C, as it gets lost when its exposed to air, cooking and submersion in water.
